Question 1

Is the Science section still part of the ACT?

Accepted Answer

Since the 2025 changes, Science is optional and is not part of the composite score. Some colleges may still want it, so check with your teen’s target schools and the ACT website.

Question 2

How is the ACT scored?

Accepted Answer

The composite score ranges from 1 to 36 and comes from the English, Math and Reading sections. Optional sections are reported separately.

Question 3

Should my teen take the ACT or the SAT?

Accepted Answer

Both are widely accepted. A tutor can look at your teen’s strengths and a practice test or two to help your family decide which test is the better fit.

Question 4

Can you promise a specific ACT score?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not promise specific scores. We hand pick a tutor who fits your teen and closely monitor and manage lessons to ensure they are making progress.

Question 5

How do we get started?

Accepted Answer

Book a free consultation. We will ask about your teen’s test date and goals, then hand pick an ACT tutor and set up lessons at times that suit your family.
