Question 1

Is the SAT still a paper test?

Accepted Answer

For most students, no. The SAT moved to a digital, adaptive format, taken through the College Board’s Bluebook app. Check the College Board website for current details and any accommodations.

Question 2

Can my teen use a calculator on the SAT?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A calculator is allowed on the entire Math section, and a Desmos graphing calculator is built into the testing app. Tutors help students practice with it so they use it efficiently.

Question 3

When should my teen start SAT prep?

Accepted Answer

Many students start a few months before their planned test date, often in Grade 11. Students who need to strengthen core math or reading skills may benefit from starting earlier.

Question 4

Can you promise a specific SAT score?

Accepted Answer

No. Every student is different, so we do not promise specific scores. We hand pick a tutor who fits your teen and closely monitor and manage lessons to ensure they are making progress.

Question 5

How do we get started?

Accepted Answer

Book a free consultation. We will ask about your teen’s test date and goals, then hand pick an SAT tutor and set up lessons at times that suit your family.
