Question 1

What is the difference between the SSAT and the ISEE?

Accepted Answer

Both are admissions tests used by independent schools, with different levels by grade. They cover similar skills (verbal, reading and math) but use different question styles and sections, so check which test each school accepts before you begin.

Question 2

Which test do Canadian private schools use?

Accepted Answer

Many Canadian independent schools commonly use the SSAT, though requirements vary. Check each school’s admissions page to confirm which test, if any, it asks for.

Question 3

When should my child start preparing for an admissions test?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your child’s current skills and the test date. Starting early leaves time to build vocabulary and math skills rather than cramming, and we can discuss timing at the free consultation.

Question 4

Can you help my child who already attends a private school?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tutors can work from your child’s homework, notes and tests in any subject, or use our own curriculum to strengthen skills that are holding them back.

Question 5

How do we get started?

Accepted Answer

Book a free consultation. Tell us about your child’s school or target test, and we will hand pick a tutor and schedule lessons at times that work for you.
