Question 1

What ages do your ESL tutors work with?

Accepted Answer

We tutor school-age English language learners in Grades 1 to 12 in the US and Canada.

Question 2

Can a tutor help my child with schoolwork in other subjects?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tutors can work from your child’s assignments in subjects like science and social studies, teaching the English needed to understand and complete them.

Question 3

My child is already in an ESL or ELL program at school. Is tutoring still useful?

Accepted Answer

Yes. 1-on-1 lessons can reinforce what your child is learning in their school program and give extra practice in the skills they find hardest.

Question 4

Does my child need to speak some English before starting?

Accepted Answer

No. Tutors start from your child’s current level, whether they are just beginning or already fairly fluent and need help with academic writing.

Question 5

How do we get started?

Accepted Answer

Book a free consultation. We will ask about your child’s grade, English level and goals, then hand pick an ESL tutor and set up lessons at times that suit you.
